Abstract

This study focuses on educational robotics within the school context, addressing the need to understand how its integration into pedagogical practices contributes to student development in a society increasingly shaped by digital technologies. The guiding research question investigates how educational robotics can be incorporated into teaching in order to promote the development of cognitive, scientific, and social competencies. The main objective is to analyze the role of educational robotics in structuring teaching processes and fostering students’ comprehensive development. The theoretical framework is grounded in conceptions that view learning as an active process, in curricular integration through the STEM approach, and in the development of computational thinking as a structuring skill. The methodology consists of an integrative literature review, involving the selection and analysis of relevant studies from recognized scientific databases. The findings indicate that educational robotics supports learning through experimentation, contributes to the development of logical reasoning and scientific literacy, and promotes competencies such as collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving. It is concluded that its effectiveness depends on pedagogical mediation, curricular organization, and teacher training, establishing it as a consistent strategy for improving teaching quality. As an implication, the study highlights its relevance for consolidating educational practices aligned with technological and formative demands of contemporary society.
