O presente estudo objetiva uma análise sobre a União Estável paralela, bem como uma reflexão filosófica acerca do tema, os entendimentos doutrinários e as jurisprudências que cuidam dessa nova modalidade de arranjo familiar. Nesse estreito limite conceitual, em apertada síntese, estuda-se na introdução breves reflexões filosóficas e sociológicas para além da família tradicional. Em seguida, é exposto um breve estudo histórico acerca do instituto jurídico– família. Analisado o instituto jurídico da União Estável com foco em sua disciplina e regulamentação legal, sempre em cotejo com a doutrina e a jurisprudência pertinentes à espécie. Adiante, será descortinada a problemática das uniões estáveis paralelas, mais uma vez com foco na doutrina especializada e na jurisprudência dos Tribunais pátrios. Diante do crescimento dessa nova entidade familiar na sociedade brasileira, conclui-se com o clamor por leis que assegurem o direito daqueles que vivem à margem da legislação vigente.
