This work focuses on presenting the history of the guarantee judge, and the changes to the Criminal Procedure Code, promoted through the Anti-Crime Package (law 13,964/2019), with the creation of the Guarantee Judge, in a clear, simple, objective way. Didactic and complete. The guarantee judge acts in the police investigation phase with the purpose of protecting the legality of processes and individual rights. From a detailed analysis it was possible to point out the main doctrinal and specific understandings on the topic.
