The study aims to analyze the decriminalization of abortion as a way of guaranteeing
the rights of women on the margins of society, considering that the risk inherent in
the illegality of abortion is experienced, in particular, by poor women who do not have
access to resources doctors to perform safe abortions. Therefore, the purpose of this
research is to initially address the right to abortion in terms of historical aspects and
legal permission. Next, an ethical-psycho-economic analysis of the pregnant woman
will be carried out, considering her right to choose. Finally, there is a legal debate on
the decriminalization of abortion as a mechanism for guaranteeing human rights to
low-income women, resulting from the adequate and effective implementation of the
reproductive social justice system.
