CRIMES COMMITTED IN THE VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT DUE TO THE HARMFUL PRACTICE OF FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION

This scientific article aims to address the intrinsic relationship between freedom of
expression and hate speech in the cyber environment, in view of the erroneous
understanding of impunity and the absence of limits with regard to freedom of
expression, with notes on the origin and development of freedom of expression in the
Brazilian legal system, as well as, demonstrative about the problem involving hate
speech on the internet. With the analysis of doctrines, jurisprudence and social
research indices, they aim to demonstrate that individuals moved by the feeling of
impunity found opportunities to commit crimes with their acts based on the false
understanding of the support of freedom, in addition to showing that the observed
principle has limits maintained for that has not allowed the invasion of the rights of
others.
