About the Journal
Objectives and Scope
The UJN Publishing Journal is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to the qualified dissemination of academic research across the fields of Health Sciences, Technology, Humanities, and Applied Social Sciences.
The journal publishes original and unpublished scientific articles, fostering academic exchange among researchers, faculty members, graduate students, and professionals from national and international institutions. Its scope includes empirical, theoretical, and applied research, conducted in accordance with rigorous methodological standards, research ethics, and social relevance.
Aligned with international publishing guidelines, the UJN Publishing Journal adopts editorial best practices designed to enhance scientific visibility, citation impact, digital discoverability, and global indexability of published works.
Guidelines for Figures, Tables, and Illustrations
Figures, tables, charts, and illustrations must comply with scientific clarity, academic relevance, and ethical standards.

All graphical elements must be cited in the text before presentation;

Each element must contain a title (top), source information (bottom), and sequential numbering;

A descriptive paragraph must follow each figure or table, highlighting key analytical aspects;

When adapted or reproduced, original sources must be properly referenced.
Authorship and Author Identification
To ensure the integrity of the double-blind peer review process:

The submitted Microsoft Word file must not contain author identification;

Complete author information must be entered exclusively in the submission metadata;

After final acceptance, author names will appear in the published version;

Authorship order must reflect the effective intellectual contribution of each author.
Note on the Lattes Curriculum (CNPq – Brazil)
The Lattes Platform may present limitations when automatically importing DOI data, particularly regarding co-authorship records. Authors are advised to manually verify and complete authorship information within the “Authors” section of their bibliographic production when necessary.
Originality and Exclusivity
The UJN Publishing Journal publishes exclusively original and unpublished scientific articles that are not under simultaneous evaluation nor previously published in other journals.
All submissions must comply with international standards of academic integrity and scientific originality.
References
References must strictly follow ABNT NBR 6023 standards (or applicable international citation formats when required).

Submission Conditions
As part of the submission process, authors must confirm that:

The article will undergo preliminary editorial screening within 30 business days;

Editorial decisions and revision requests will be communicated via email;

Manuscripts that do not comply with submission guidelines will be returned for correction.

Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the UJN Publishing Journal undergo the following stages:
1. Plagiarism and Originality Screening
Manuscripts are evaluated using advanced similarity detection systems supported by artificial intelligence technologies, ensuring scientific integrity and content originality.
2. Initial Editorial Screening (Desk Review)
The Editorial Board assesses the manuscript’s alignment with the journal’s scope, editorial policies, and minimum scientific criteria.
3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Approved manuscripts are forwarded to external reviewers under a double-blind peer review system, ensuring impartiality, academic rigor, and scientific quality.
4. Editing and Publication Preparation
After final approval, manuscripts undergo editorial revision, formatting, and standardization, without altering the approved scientific content.
Open Access Policy
The UJN Publishing Journal follows an Open Access policy in accordance with international open science principles.
Authors agree that:

They may distribute the published version in institutional repositories, personal websites, and other platforms with proper citation of the original publication;

Personal data provided to the journal are used exclusively for editorial and academic purposes and are not shared with third parties.
Metadata and Indexing Policy
The UJN Publishing Journal adopts a rigorous metadata policy aligned with international indexing standards to enhance discoverability and academic impact.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for accurately completing submission metadata, including:

Editorial Verification
The Editorial Team performs technical metadata validation in accordance with international standards such as Dublin Core, OAI-PMH, and OJS XML protocols, without modifying the intellectual content submitted by authors.
Compliance with DOAJ and Google Scholar Standards
The journal adheres to best practices required by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), ensuring rich, interoperable, and publicly accessible metadata to facilitate indexing in international academic search engines, including Google Scholar.
Ethics and Citation Policy
Authors are free to cite relevant literature, provided they adhere to editorial ethics, scientific relevance, and diversity of sources.
Failure to comply with ethical and citation policies may result in editorial rejection or return of the manuscript for revision.
